SUPPORT & AMC

ERPNext Support in Qatar

Local support for ERPNext systems — bug fixes, version upgrades, refresher training and performance tuning, whether we implemented your system or someone else did.

An ERP that isn't maintained degrades quietly. Reports stop matching what the business needs, a version falls two years behind and the eventual upgrade becomes a project instead of a routine task, and the one person who understood the customisations leaves the company. ERPNext support in Qatar, done properly, is less about firefighting and more about keeping the system aligned with a business that keeps changing — new branches, new tax rules, new reporting requirements from a bank or auditor.

What's covered under support and AMC

Our annual maintenance contracts are built around four things:

  • Bug fixes and configuration changes. Something breaks, a workflow needs an extra approval step, a print format needs updating — handled within the response time agreed in your contract.
  • Version upgrades. Tested on a staging copy of your real data before anything touches production, with a rollback plan in place.
  • User training refreshers. New hires and role changes mean the training you did at go-live doesn't cover everyone forever. We run refresher sessions as part of the contract, not as a separate billable request.
  • Performance and server monitoring. Slow page loads, backup verification and server health checks, so problems are caught before they become downtime.

Common requests we handle week to week

In practice, the bulk of support tickets are smaller than "the system is broken": a new report grouped by cost centre, a customer-specific pricing rule, a purchase approval workflow that needs a second sign-off above a certain amount, a new employee who needs role-based permissions set up correctly, or a WPS payroll file that needs adjusting after a mid-month salary change. None of these need a full re-implementation — they need someone who already understands your configuration to make a targeted change without breaking something else.

Supporting a system we didn't build

A meaningful share of our support clients came to ERPNext through another implementation partner — sometimes a freelancer, sometimes an agency that's no longer reachable. Before quoting an AMC on a system we didn't build, we run a short technical audit: reviewing custom scripts, server configuration, backup setup and general data health. This protects you from us quoting a support contract on assumptions, and it protects us from inheriting undocumented problems silently. Most audits take a few days and tell you plainly whether the existing setup is solid, needs cleanup, or has deeper issues worth knowing about before you commit to ongoing support.

Why version upgrades matter more than they seem to

It's tempting to leave a working ERPNext instance alone once it's stable — "if it isn't broken, don't touch it." The problem is that security patches, performance improvements and bug fixes only ship in newer versions, and the gap between your version and the current one grows every month you wait. Two years behind, an upgrade stops being a routine weekend task and becomes a project with real migration risk, because too many changes have accumulated at once. We schedule upgrades on a predictable cadence specifically to avoid that scenario.

How response times and pricing work

We don't publish a single AMC price because the right contract depends on how many users, modules and integrations you're running, and how fast you need issues resolved. What we do commit to upfront, before any contract is signed: a specific response time for your tier, a fixed monthly support hour allocation, and a scope of what's included versus billed separately (like new module rollouts, which are treated as a small implementation project rather than a support ticket). You'll know exactly what you're paying for before you agree to it.

If you're evaluating whether to move to ERPNext for the first time rather than maintaining an existing system, start with our implementation page. If you need custom development — a new Frappe app, an integration with another system, or a bespoke report — see ERPNext customization.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you support an ERPNext system another company implemented?

Yes, this is a large part of our support workload. We start with a short technical audit — reviewing the customisations, server setup and data health — before quoting an AMC, so we're not guessing at what we're taking on.

  • What's included in an annual maintenance contract?

A fixed allocation of support hours per month for bug fixes, configuration changes and user questions, plus scheduled version upgrades, server and backup monitoring, and a defined response time. Exact hours and response time depend on your system size and are agreed before the contract starts.

  • How fast do you respond to support tickets?

Response times are set per AMC tier and confirmed in writing before you sign — we don't operate on a vague best-effort basis. Because we're based in Doha, support happens in your working hours and time zone, not an overnight queue.

  • Do you handle ERPNext version upgrades?

Yes. ERPNext releases new versions regularly, and skipping too many creates a harder, riskier upgrade later. We test upgrades on a staging copy of your data first, then schedule the production upgrade with rollback planned in, so it doesn't interrupt your working day.

  • What if we just need one-off help, not a full contract?

We take on ad-hoc support requests — a broken report, a new print format, a workflow that needs adjusting — billed per request. Most clients on an AMC started this way and moved to a contract once the volume of requests made that the better value.
