How much does an ERPNext implementation cost in Qatar?
Nobody publishes a price, so here is how the number is actually built.
The licence is free. That is the part everyone hears first, and it is true — ERPNext is open source. What you pay for is the work of making it fit your business.
What drives the number
- How many divisions or business lines. A single trading company is straightforward. A manufacturer with three production lines and a separate collection operation is not.
- How much is standard, how much is custom. Standard configuration is fast. Custom screens, reports and print formats are where the hours go.
- How much data has to move. Masters are easy. Opening balances, open documents and stock valuation take time to load and, more importantly, to verify.
- Payroll. WPS, end-of-service gratuity, leave policy and air tickets are Qatar-specific and rarely work out of the box.
- How many people need training, and in how many languages.
What a quote should separate
A quote that gives you one figure tells you nothing. Ask for it split into configuration, customisation, data migration, training and post-go-live support. When the line items are visible you can see what you are actually buying, and you can decide to drop something.
The costs people forget
- Hosting, backups and the domain.
- Your own team's time. This is the biggest hidden cost in every project.
- Support after go-live. The first month-end always produces questions.
- Changes you ask for after signing. Every project has them. Agree the hourly rate up front so they are never a surprise.
A fair way to think about it
For most Qatar SMEs the implementation cost lands somewhere between a few months and a year of what the equivalent licensed software would cost annually — and then it stops, because there is no annual licence.
We quote line by line, and we tell you which items you could defer to a second phase. If a proposal will not break the number down for you, that is worth noticing.
